On the heels of song collaborations with Kondukter recording artist Roby R (“Dance Now, I’m Addicted”), a stint as lead singer with Maxi and Cheri of the Mary Jane Girls and independently released solo projects, (“Angelique”, “Around The World In A Groove” etc.), It Started With A Kiss is the 4th album for multi-lingual (French, Spanish, English) singer-songwriter AngéliqueMusic.

Accompanied by stellar background singers and musicians, AngéliqueMusic’s It Started With A Kiss is a musically diverse, infectiously rhythmic and socially charged groove album that will strike a chord with countless demographics. 1. "Stay (See The Light") is a high spirited yet lyrically heart aching pop song that explores the aftermath of an unexpected loss. 2. Featuring singer/actor Jay Jackson (Parks & Recreation, Scandal and more) "Hair" is an updated remake of Larry Graham’s GCS 1970s hit exploring the societal issues of hair in culture, race and identity. 3. Destined to be a classic, “Supernatural” has the right elements of a timeless ballad: emotionally riveting and deeply personal, with haunting lyrics and sweet harmonies that echo the awe of a supernatural love. 4. “All Day Sucker” is a Stevie Wonder remix with a twist: He’s a tease and she’s frustrated! 5. Along with singer/child actor Marc Copage (Julia, Different Strokes, etc.) Reggaeton driven French/English “Il Faut” follow a man and woman reminiscing about a love that might have been but can never be. 6. “Breeze On By” is a jazz/rap mash up of Bobby Womacks “Breezin” and Ice Cube’s “You Can Do It” displaying the synchronicity of the genres. 7. First single “It Started With A Kiss” pays homage to children James Thompson and David Simpson of Monroe, North Carolina (“The Kissing Case”) who were accused of rape and assault for being kissed on the cheek by a white girl in 1958. 8. Ballad “Why Did You Turn Me On is soul music at its best; searing vocals, lush harmonies and a smoking rhythm section. 9. Reggae inspired “Eye On You” is a mellow groove to remind us that God is love and love is all. 10. Inspired by the possibilities of a new romance, “Dance Til The Sunrise” is a great summer in the park or top down riding along the coast groove. 11. Sung in English with a funky Serbian rap, “Gangsta” is a Roby R collaboration about a wannabe Gangsta. 12. Another song destined to be a classic, On The Edge Of Beyond reminds us to be kind to mother earth.
